  Staff is not very courteous. And the prices are too high.
  However the variety of gems is vast, the choices in form of rings or earrings is limited.

  I went to buy a jewel as a valentine gift to my wife to this place.i went to their showroom they didint even welcome me inside refused be by the door way saying srilankans are not allowed.shame on you people.as a hotelier i will never ever tolerate such behaviours .and i will never allow any of my guest to come to your business again.

  Had the big "pleasure!" to visit that shop in january.The owners are not that welcoming but show their fake interest until they understand you are not going to buy half shop!
  They show you stuff and if you don't like it, there is an immediate change of perception and loss of interest from them. Even after encountering this behaviour, I still got the ring with the blue sapphires. But after wearing it only twice the colour started wearing off. Blue started turning into white.
  Hence I decided to take it to an expert jeweller to get it examined for quality. I wasn't Surprised!, he said it's 100% not sapphire.

  Bought a sapphire and they made a ring. Had it valued in Hatton Garden London. Valuers said the stone was of a very high quality and the workmanship excellent. Value (in UK) given at 50% more than I paid. I thoroughly recommend Douglas and Sons. Beware of the jewellers in the tourist areas - they are scammers.

  Very chill staff. We did not feel forced to buy like in other shops. They are very honest and a touch cheaper compared to the more touristy shops in Galle. Highly recommend these guys!

  Hand made interesting jewelries, different quality of stones for every customer, every income. Good prices, much more low than in other shops, international certificates, good discounts if you buy more than 1 item
