  This temple has a history beyond 100 years. Peoples in Dehipola, Dangamuwa, Katagoda, Kohilagolla, Ankanuheena comes to this temple. Kalal Pitiye Thammakiththi thero is the Chief Monk of this temple. Newly constructed Stupa, very old Bhodiya are at this temple.
