The Dambulla Fish Breeding Center is a government institution that is dedicated towards breeding fish that is subsequently released into large bodies of water.
The aim of this institute is to uplift local fishermen. Please do pay this place a visit if you happen to have some free time in Dambulla. It's very interesting!response / report this review -

Good service..
The Aquaculture Development Centre at Dambulla was established in 1982. The Mahawali Authority established this centre with the financial assistance of the World Bank. It is situated around 150 km away from Colombo, along the Kurunagala-Dambulla road and covers an extent of 55 ha. The centre is located in a flat terrain below the earth dam of Ibbankatuwa reservoir. Therefore, availability of year round gravity fed water is the main advantage for the centre.response / report this review -

This is NAQDA's fish breeding center at Dambulla in around 60 acres land. The circuit bungalow is also located inside the premises.
