  Unforgettable day, very good excursion on the "Kokkilai's Bird Sanctuary's lagoon"
  It was on 2018 March the 18
  Our organizer Anuradha, and the team where professional and very friendly kind
  It was "physical", "very good" and "magical".
  Physical because it was a first faith for us and for the organizer
  So the boat (fishing one) had been equipped with plastic garden chairs, so boarding and landing
  where a little "rock and roll" (I'm 67 years old ..)
  Physical because no roof to the boat (open hull), knowing that we had taken very broad hats.
  Very good: Kokkilai / our hotel (Trincomalee) 1h15 in air-conditioned van, schedule respected to
  the minute
  Very good because the organizer did the circuit with us.
  Very good because the organizer had a cooler with cold drinks, fruit and cookies, more than we
  could absorb.
  Very good because the pilot and his help are very competent, both in piloting and detection of
  birds.
  Very good because the organizer did not count his time.
  Magical because there was thousands of birds, including many unknown in France, just like a
  bird reportage.
  Magic because the site is exceptional, a huge shallow lagoon, full of fish, narrow channel so
  the waves of the ocean do not fit.
  Magic was the navigation in the mangrove just our boat and the wild life (birds, monkeys,
  crocodile ..) again the real impression to hold the camera for an animal reportage.
  
  If you are intersted in this kind of exploration, don't hesitate to contact them, in addition to the
  ornitho we spent this long afternoon (from 13 to 20:00) with these Sri Lankans whose kindness is not
  a legend."

  Cross Country Travels Sri Lanka (CCTSL) is a professional, passionate, and trustworthy travel agency that provided me with all the resources and knowledge I needed to have an unforgettable trip through Sri Lanka.
  
  My goal for this trip was to photograph blue whales underwater for the high school Biology class I teach. When I contacted CCTSL about this, Anuradha explained the process for obtaining the legal permits to do so, walked me through the application, and even went to the Wildlife Department to advocate for me in Sri Lanka***! This business has a clear passion and dedication for making sure anyone interested in exploring Sri Lanka has an unforgettable experience and they go to great lengths to make sure your vision becomes a reality.
  
  CCTSL also supported me with accommodations, transportation and they organized the boat trip with a reliable company. They also gave me ideas and tips for the rest of my travels through the country whenever I had them!
  
  Overall, I highly recommend that anyone interested in exploring this country works with Cross Country Travels Sri Lanka - they put in the time to make sure your experience is as great as it can be!
  
  ***this whole process for getting permits to photograph the whales can take a few weeks and is not guaranteed, so plan accordingly if you want to do this.

  Great and professional private driver hire. We had the honour to meet Upul, the driver that Cross Country Travels Sri Lanka introduced to us during our honey moon journey in Sri Lanka. Such a nice and professional driver, we will miss him a lot! Thank you to Cross Country for their services and their continuous support during our journey. They replied super fast to our emails and also gave us a local sim card free of charge which was very useful to check google maps and internet in general.   Firstly, I like to thank these guys again for such a lovely welcome to this stunning country. We were fortunate to have an entire week to journey through some of Sri Lanka's most outstanding sites. CCTSL managed our journey with wonderful service, a comfortable and insured vehicle and a delightful, knowledgeable guide and driver. We are professional photographers and can be a bit demanding at times, but these guys didn't mind going the extra mile to seek out possible photo subjects. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
