Place is dusting, specially at night. Filled with bad liquor smell. Smokers are everywhere. Irresponsible bus drivers and so many things. Very sad to see the central bus stand in the capital in such a worse situation.
It would better if the relevant authorities could improve the infrastructure and the service provided from the place in an efficient and effective manner

Hard to find counters. Have to ask 4 different staff to know where the hell is the bus you’re gonna take. Have to get use the station. There are many lines to get around the island, good pices

Help desks are not that much helpful. Most of the long destination buses can be found in here. Normal, Luxury and Semi luxury as well. All buses are belongs to Sri Lanka Transport Department.

Main public bus stand. You can find a bus to the major cities all around the sri lanka. Seatings available and there is a shelter for bad weather. Some staff also available and you can ask them about the buses and time of turns. Public washrooms available and around Rs.10 will be charged for a use. Most of the busses available in the day time and for some cities night services also available. You can find luxurious, semi luxury and normal services here.

There are more facilities in here but this place is not clean enough. There's a big bookshop 📚 on the first floor and the third floor is a bank (BOC). There is a small city hotel on the second floor and rooms available there.

Very poorly maintained , the drains are open and rats are scurrying about .
On the bright side their is convenient waiting space for the commuters .
Major hub of CTB buses , easy to pick a bus at late hours as well .

The buses are running on schedule without any delay. There are accomadations for passengers too. Only major concern is the cleanliness of the place. Need huge improvement in cleanliness.

Such a busy bus station! So many busses it was hard to cross the road. We had to wait here a while for our connection so thankfully there were shops, seating and public toilets. The toilets were not so savoury and quite busy with people traffic. It was not the cleanest place.

Safety and clean is poor. Be carefull from long buses. There are lot of beggers and street sellers. Forigners can meet easily scammers.
