  College of technology Badulla is the pioneers of technical education in Uva proince . Conduct courses NVQ and none NVQ .Up to NVQ Level 5 students can learn Engineering, IT , Commerce and other courses.

  College of Technology was started in 1962 as a junior technical college. It was the 5th technical college in Sri Lanka. In this stage there were commerce course with a batch of 40 student and 24 permanent lecturers. Later new courses were introduced and in 1983 it was converted to “A” Grade Technical College.
  In 2009 technical college was upgraded to a “College of Technology” by introducing NVQ based diploma courses.
