Good hotel. when we need something they prepare them quickly. Some minus points for the rooms and services, but they have sorted them by just a single reminder. Pool is very good and restaurants are nice too.

Fantastic service. Three are about 6 different restaurants in the hotel with various different cuisines on offer. The polls are crystal clear and the staff can't do enough to help.

I just spent one night at this hotel at the end of February, during a busy tour, but thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was varied and good, and there were many lounge chairs on the lawn area and close to the beach, all shaded by trees. The ocean was perfect for swimming, a natural swim pool protected from the heavy surf by a reef. I can recommend this hotel.

Had a very good time. The animator did a good job by organizing fun games for our group. Huge space. Beach is not reserved only for the hotel. Though there was a variety of food, the tast was not as expected. Due to less staff, the service at the buffet area was not satisfactory. In rooms the toilet and the bathroom are separated which made uncomfortable. Rooms were cleaned, but not maintained properly. Some broken things were there (Plug base, door lock of bathroom). Though its a 5 star hotel I could give it 3 stars.

Even basic rooms are big and luxurious, very clean, helpful staff, at service at any second. Room is cleaned every day. In room dining is excellent, and affordable. AC, balcony, electric kettle, fridge, TV, free coffee and water, safety deposit box. Beds are big, with nice linen, comfortable. Pool is nice. Breakfast (12$/person) is amazing and highly recommended. On the beach outside of hotel are several small family run restaurants with good and cheap food.

It's a bit deceiving that prices are shown without VAT, so room was 30% more expensive than originally stated. Don't ask for any bottled water in the hotel restaurant during meals, since they charge ridiculous prices (3$ for 0.5L bottle). On some occasions room service entered the room during the day for no apparent reason (after regular morning cleaning). Beach is dirty, waves are too big so no swimming except in the pool.

Great location with a nice sea view. Ideal place if you like to enjoy a swim in the sea. Good food with a variety. They have spacious rooms and staff promptly attended to an issue with AC in our room. Only negative was that dinning area being a bit crowded specially at night. There were queues for action stations.

I was attending an event at Cinnamon Bay Beruwala on Friday morning to Saturday afternoon, from the time I entered in to the hotel until I left it experience was more disappointing.
    1. Event was to start at 9.00am and it was after Breakfast snack, even by 10.00am it was not all that ready and no tea or coffee, few of us went to serve and they said it is not ready yet in a *rude* manner.
    2. Lunch buffet was *not up to a Cinnamon standard* at all, either too much salt or no taste at all, staff seems like not trained by a Hotel School at all, not suitable in a hospitality environment, most of them were very *rude*
    3. Gala dinner buffet was also not very presentable, the chefs were giving us the impression as if we are a bother to them, they were throwing the food on the serving dishes, also the once who went to serve at the last minute was given a bad attitude by the staff who was at the buffet.
    4. At the dinner time someone has dropped a glass and it was broken right at the ballroom entrance and I happened to walk out from there while they were cleaning which I did not notice and a piece of glass cut my toe and was bleeding, none of the staff paid any attention, they continue to do the cleaning.
    5. We were forced to wind up by 11.00pm and there were staff walked up to the dance flow and forced people to move out. 🙄????
    6. After dinner few of us went back to the room and some guys was in the pool just talking to each other no music or loud voices, one of the staff came and said that we have to stop as there are complaints from some gusts, when asked who complained the staff member said “their British that is the problem” well I don’t understand what sense that makes.
    7. Saturday Breakfast buffet was horrible, I do not understand why the food was so tasteless in a Cinnamon Hotel.
    8. In the morning one of the event organizing members asked for 2 Panadols from one of the restaurant staff, he came after awhile and said we do not issue any medicine 🙄 really?? I did not know that, also I do not know the Hotel policy on this.
But must say that it is a beautiful hotel if it has the right people and maintaining is done like other Cinnamon Hotels.
All a very disappointing experience given to us by Cinnamon Bay Beruwala.

A good place to relax with your loved ones. Loved the food variations included in the buffet. The pool and the hotel becomes a little bit over-crowded during the local tourism season (somewhere around August to November). Would visit again for sure.

The rooms are cozy but could be better, the pool is huge but has no deep end. I booked a Superior Triple room and it ended up being a usual double room which was given to us saying that it was a triple room. The Wifi was very very bad.
The food offered is good. Also there is no proper parking in the hotel premises to park the guests vehicles.
The atmosphere is good and relaxing.
Overall its an okay place but it's definitely doesn't deserve to be a five star hotel and is not worth for the price.

The food is undoubtedly the top attraction here.
Nice sea view and an spacious pool
    Providing room reservations,
Banquet and other functions have their own halls set up serving just for the purpose. The staff is friendly as well.

Food is nice , but there was not much variety of sea foods on the day I visited. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Room was clean and well organized, but there was water leak from a bathroom wall and water came near the bed.
Cocktail prices are little bit higher when comparing to similar range places. There are 5 to 6 restaurant and you get nice views. Overall it was a good experience.

My stay at Cinnomon Bey was great! This was my 3rd visit to the hotel and each time iv had a pleasant experience. This time around I was able to stay in the Deluxe rooms which were fantastic. The staff was lovely as always. The food was good. Some meals were better than others. Overall, a wonderful stay :)

Good hotel with nice buffet. I think the best part is the beach area. You can enjoy a nice sunset and have cup of tea.

I went here for a day out with my friends. Had a great day. The nearby beach wasn't much clean. Mud was there at the shore. Location of the swimming pool was fantastic. The buffet was good but choices were limited compared to other same level hotels. Overall experience was fantastic. Love to go again.

I went there because my mind was begging for a holiday and they surely didn't disappoint my decision. The designing of the place is honestly unique and from the moment you enter the hotel you feel relaxed. My room had direct entrance to the pool and the view itself was magnificent. Rooms are well maintained however you need to read their instructions on air conditioning and stick to that. The food, you definitely need to hit the gym after a stay with them because their buffet will set your taste buds on fire and belly fat on higher end 😉 It's almost a quick drive from colombo so the travelling time is massively saved and if you deserve a holiday in the paradise with mesmerising sea, great food and scenarios, you should pay them a visit.

A very relaxing hotel with good facilities. The resteraunts offer a range of menus to suit a wide variety of tastes and best described as reasonable. The rooms have balconies & are nicely appointed some rooms have baths as well as showers, request your requirements in advance of your choice. I would happily recommend this hotel based on my experiences.

The Spa at the hotel was amazing, visited twice for a body and head massage, walked out feeling 100% relaxed! The swimming pool is a very good size and we never felt it was overcrowded even though it is peak season. Plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and the beautiful gardens of the resort. Food at the different restaurants were delicious and cocktails too! Highly recommended!

Nice get away. Good food. Buffet spread is well set out. Room amenities are well crafted out. Pool is well maintained and quite nice in length. Pool attendants can be a source of mood spoilers. The beach out side is a pretty view. Yes the sellers in the beach will be a cause of disturbance to buy products. As far as you mind yourself no harm.

This is a very nice resort. Newly built and nice architecture. The rooms, we stayed in a deluxe double room, are spacious and very nicely decorated.
The food is good and there is a nice range to the restaurants, although I read that there are supposed to be seven of them. There are four major restaurants, the rest are parts if other restaurants or bars.
The pool area is very nice as well, big and plenty of space even if there are kids playing around.
There is a gym, quite small but sufficient for an easy workout.
Quite expensive of course, but resorts in the class is. The food and drinks were reasonable for the class if the resort.
