Had a nice stay here. Got of to a rocky start with a cute little bug on the door. But after that everything got better. The man of the house is a charming and friendly guy. Made us lunch, breakfast and invited us for dinner. Also played Sri Lankan board game with him. After all, fine place to stay. Especially for the price!

Basic accommodation and good value for your money. We took the 'superior' room, which means a lot of space and a big double bed (although it was two separate matresses). The bathroom was good enough. The owner is very welcoming and charming. He was very helpful and gave some advice on visiting the Anuradhapura sights. We played a Sri Lankan board game in the evening and had lots of fun! The next day we had some misunderstanding about our Wilpattu safari (which was a big dissapointment anyway) and to make it up to us he treated us to a free, home cooked lunch. I would definitely recommend this place of your are traveling on a budget!

Poor level of hygiene
I had a friend stayed there, so we followed. Only one mosquito net for 2 beds Dirty bathrooms. Mosquitos all over the place. ..response / report this review -

The rooms are basic but spacious. The host helpful and friendly. Bicycle rent is very handy to visit the ancient city.
