  Power was out and the hotel has no generator. Half the food and wine on the menus and wine list were not available (and this had nothing to do with the power failure). Internet barely functioned unless you were very close to the modem. No pool and nothing at all to do. Infestation of tiny bugs which gives around people's face and ears. Never a single apology for the various problems.. No air conditioning in the rooms and no window screens so you baked all night long. What did they did have was mediocre at best. By far the most unsatisfactory experience we had in close to a month in India and Sri Lanka. Do not go there.

  Tranquil escape, an oasis in the mountains. The room was comfortable, clean and presented well. The meals particularly the local offering was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly.
