Well connected bus station, bit crowded but anyone is happy to help tourists. The bulding is older, not clean and chaotic - you can also call it: authentic. Several shops are incliluded which are offering tasty snacks, fruits and where i had the very best lemon juice in Sri Lanka.

We wanted to go by bus to kandy.
There are no AC busses, regardless of what the people tell you.
Attached the timetable for the local bus. Fees are cheap, around 200 or 300 only.
Today the last bus direct to Kandy did not happen. It was canceled. They had to repair the bus or so. So we are going to Dambuella and then Kandy. Seems to be on the way anyways.

Crowded bus station with a lot of people trying to get you to go with them. Two areas to wait: local bus and long roads.

Little market places to by snacks available. Tuk tuk also available really easily. Be careful, they always try to scam you if you are a tourist.

Bus schedules not available there.. You go and see, classic Sri à Lanka.

The private & government bus stand, both are situated in the town of Trincomalee & it’s very closed to 🏖 the beach, hospital and you can easily find more restaurants, groceries and rooms.

The location is really good and near to Fort Frederick and Konesvaram kovil. It's also 1km to the railway station. Cleanliness needs to be improved and staff isn't that much friendly. Washrooms are available as well.

Excellent location, good connectivity to all major towns in Sri Lanka. The shops in the station have all the necessary Tid bits for a journey.
Seating while waiting is available and the platforms are cleaner than most bus stations in Sri Lanka. The washrooms could use some upgrade and maintenance.
