This place has got amazing ambience. The prices are a little high, which is understandable because the place is clearly meant for an upmarket audience.

We had a Chicken Cesar salad, Burrito Bowl, a island Chiller (Water Melon-base juice with a couple of other ingredients blended in) and a Ceylon Punch (mix of Narang juice and some other goodies.)

The food is delicious, and you don't have to wait long to be served once you order. The staff is extremely friendly.

I would highly recommend this cafe. From the day we found out about it - we’ve come every day- even multiple times a day. The staff is friendly and so considerate - and very mindful of any allergies (gluten and dairy included!). The space is beautiful and opens up to the outside which offers good seating inside and outside. Situated right next to the prana lounge, the cafe is always filled with a mix of great people -healers, athletes, locals. This is hands down our favorite place in Colombo! Do not miss coming here!

Lovely ambience and vibe. We were directed to a table almost immediately and the staff were very well equipped to cater to all our needs. The food was amazing with big enough portions to really keep us going till dinner time!

We loved it here! It was a great place to start your morning off with some delicious breakfast options and flushing it down with a Ceylon Punch to quench our thirst on a warm morning in Colombo. We didn’t really have a reservation but managed to get a table after a few minutes of waiting. The service was excellent and it makes your day when you’re greeted with smiling faces all around.

The big breakfast was very good, so was the detox green. The coffee, err, not so much. Everyone was too busy, and the cashier took ages to just enter our order on their touch screen. The ambience can be much better and homely. I get the concept that they're trying to pull off, but at least the tables shouldn't be broken and shaky. They need to pay attention to the cutlery etc, and keep each table stocked, instead of the customer having to get up each time a spoon or a knife isn't adequately stocked. The kick in the teeth was the price of water, Rs 165 per 500 bottle of water, and it was a glass bottle, so you couldn't even take it with you if you haven't finished it.

The lentil burger was outstanding with the pickled jalapeños being a very nice touch. This was the freshest and most delicious iced tea I’ve had in a several years and it was very refreshing on a muggy Colombo night. I appreciate the use of metal straws to protect the oceans as well. Every detail is taken care of at this restaurant. It’s very welcoming and even the music selection was on point. If I wasn’t just visiting the country for a wedding I would certainly be a regular at Cafe Kumbuk.

Well at first i was delighted with the setting of the place. Food was amazing until i found a worm walking up my fork. It was in the salad i guess. However the staff appologised for my unfortunate incident. Shana called me as well offering a meal on the house on my next visit. I hope they will be extra careful when preparing food in the future. Apart from the worm insident the place is great. The coffee was great too.

The food here is amazing and the way they present them is much more attractive 😍 Great ambient and the service is really good. From the counter ask about their 'today's special' item. If you are vegan, this is the one of the best places you need to visit. And many vegetarian options are available at Cafe Kumbuk. You won't regret at the end of your meal.

Bit pricy but food was great. My vegetarian friends didn't have many choices though. Provide more water in large glasses. Polite staff.

Very nice place to eat food and get away from the hustle and bustle. You can do yoga here too if that's up your street.
I had the Sea bass here and it was cooked to perfection.

Loved this place a lot! Very colonial looking and classy. Visited them twice. Tried their French toast with berries. It was really good. Prices are a bit high, however it is reasonable considering the fact that they got very healthy options which is something rare around Colombo. They 've got a range of cold pressed juices , all made out of fresh fruits and organic ingredients . Kumbuk is not just a place for healthy eating but also offers you options to stay fit. They've got yoga classes on a side . And also got a small boutique like thing where they sell hand crafted accessories and clothing . It's a great place to hang out or spend time reading a book or doing your work.

Quiet and cosy in a backyard with a great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and the food tasted fresh and good. For Sri Lankan standards rather a bit pricy, but still adequate.

Very cozy place with nice staff and original menu - good options for vegetarians /vegan. Was a bit disappointed that the "smashed broccoli linguine", it really lacked broccoli! I would call it a vegetarian pasta cabonara with tiny tiny trays of broccoli :-( the taste was good, though not what expected from the info in menu. Kind of the same feeling of the tex mex salad. Coffee is really GOOD!! Sri Lanka need more of this! (toilet facilities the cutest I've seen:)))
