It depends greatly which room you take. The main house is well placed with great view and comfortable but it is cramped so you are forced to live with whoever else rents The house. The new annexes have obscured views. Service is there but completely counter intuitive and not really about service. Food options are limited and mediocre. They try to ask you what you want but then the answer is usually no mainly because they just want you to eat what they give you. Far from the city. Good sleep though and the shallow pool is pleasant. Expensive for the quality of service and lodging they offer. Go source for somewhere else if possible.
You can go for a pleasant lagoon tour or hire van, car or tuk tuk into town but driver quality is not predictable. That is endemic problem in that area.response / report this review -

Stunning and unique location between the lagoon and sea. Designed by Sri Lanka's Picasso - Laki Senanayake it's got a superbly relaxed vibe which hits you instantly. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Opt for the excellent Sri Lankan food which uses the local ingredients and cooking styles.

The Perfect Getaway
The most beautiful place in Sri Lanka!! If you are looking for a restful, quiet, scenic place, this is it. The hotel is new, rooms are large and comfortable with breathtaking views.
Simply amazing!
The hotel is situated with secluded stretches of beach on two sides, the ocean and river.
The staff was very friendly. They greeted us when we arrived and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay.
Great holiday. We are already dreaming of our next visit!
