The property is average and the location is decent. They have their own private beach shack but it’s not that great. Food was good however the wait times were quite a lot. Rooms were horrible and the lighting was even worse. The manager was good to talk to. Their transport desk was also good and helpful.

Went there for an event! Place is clean .. staff was helpful.
Food was good and tasty! Desserts and drinks were also good!
It may not look modern but the place is good for a day-outing! Pool area is big and clean!

We had our wedding at Berjaya on the 02nd of December 2017. It was a wonderful experience for me and my bride. All arrangements were perfect and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Mohan the manager was a great support. He coordinated everything very well. They gave a good service not just during the wedding but also during our stay there. I would willingly recommend Berjaya for anyone who plans to have their function or have a stay in the lovely hotel.

Best place to stay around in Colombo. Rooms can be better. Good quality food and ambiance. You can have pool side view from the hotel. There is beach behind the hotel. Over all it’s a perfect place for holiday in Colombo.

Not a pleasant place to stay.the hotel needs some makeover looks like it was built in 1980 and no renovation has been done till date.
We couldn't sleep because there is a train track at some 30 meters the sound of train passing by wakes you u up.
Interiors were damaged and cleanliness was not maintained. The hotel reception was not able to handle front desk properly they were as if handling a department store.
Not recommend! Only ocean view is not enough.

The hotel doesn't look quite appealing as it is quite old and needs a good amount of renovation to look pleasing. The reception area also is not like any of the new hotels.They failed to provide us with adjacent rooms unlike the other hotels in SriLanka as they claimed that one of their guests who was supposed to check out didn't. This is in a way not a welcome gesture as if any guest wishes to overstay they should have been asked to move to another room if that room is booked for any other guest. The Christmas gala dinner was good and the spread was quite elegant. All the rooms don't have a great view as they are barred by shade.A train like runs behind the hotel so you can hear trains crossing most of the time. You need to cross an over bridge to reach the beach adjacent to it which is quite good.

Staff always had a smile on their fave and if needed tried to help as good as possible.a Short distance to the beach and other restaurants. Room was pretty clean. Linen and towels were changed daily. Kids enjoyed the pool. Reception/reservation staff was helpful. Meals served in the Malaysian/Indian restaurant (on the beach) was good.

We were very disappointed with our bookings done about 3 weeks ago. Our rooms were not done, bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed. No towels. Cupboards with thrash inside. I can go on. Definitely will not recommend or stay there again. We were embarassed when we were billed for beers we never ordered and asked to settle bills. Sorry being frank. This was our first and last visit to Berjaya Hotels. Follow the Malaysian way and improve quality.

Good place to spend your leisure time. Have a good pool area which can be used for family events. Have decent parking space. Have 100 rooms and adjacent to it loon Tao and shore by o is located. Food and refreshments are also decent.
It is a Malaysian investment.

Rooms are good. U can see the sea from the balcony. Food is very good especially breakfast is very tasty. U can spend your evenings at the beach. I loved this place.

very poorly managed hotel among worst I have seen . Your staff is inadequately trained and poorly motivated . Washrooms have poor ventilation. Flies on the breakfast table and Lizards in the room are very common observation.
reaching room service after 10 PM is a difficult task .
Room cleaning staff is good and nice .

Old hotel and stay here only if u want to be near the beach but choose other hotels in the center of Colombo to enjoy the city
