One of a kind place. Beaches are pretty windy at night. If you are going camping, consider finding a place with some cover from winds.

It is a hidden paradise where a traveler should spend a night near the beach. Met some folks with good heart who has treated us well. Just grab your gear and go

It was a unique experience. Had to travel a few kilometers from the jetty to the island. It was very dry with hot sun. The village has it's own police station and church and few families.

Very beautiful island with Fishing boats, small huts with thatched roofs, and silhouettes of people walking back and forth dotted the coastline. Tall coconut trees towered over this scenery while the aquamarine depths of the ocean in front shimmered softly in the sun. Comfortably seated on my perch at the ferry boat, I eagerly peered about before locking my eyes on the approaching island of Baththalangunduwa.
මම ගිය ලස්සනම තැන් වලින් ඒකක් ඒ්ත් දුක තමයි පොලිතින්, ප්ලාස්ටික් හා ෆෝම් වලින් අධිකව දූෂිත වි තිබිම. මූලිකවම ඒක වෙන්නේ දූපත බලන්න යන සංචාරකයන් අතින් නෙමෙයි. දූපතේ ජීවත් වෙන ජනතාවගේ නොදැනුවත් කම හා නොසැලකිලිමත් කම නිසා තමා දූපත දූෂණය වී අැත්තේ. මේ පිළිබඳව බලධාරින්ගේ අවධානය යොමු කරන මෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.response / report this review -

Perfect place for beach camping. U Can buy fishes, crabs, prawns..( many kind of seafoods ) from island fishermen for reasonable prices. There is a boat service from Kalpitiya @ 8 am. Its around 3 hour marvelous journey for very cheap price. Only 1 up & down journey per one day. U can go on boat's roof too. u have to bring all stuffs u need in island because only one shop is there. That shop can't satisfy ur needs. Bring water to drink because no good water resources are there
