The restaurant is very big and right next to a beautiful temple. We took quite a long tuk tuk ride to get here as we are vegan and saw that this is pure vegetarian. We arrived at 8pm, took our shoes off at the entrance and washed our hands ready. The restaurant was very busy and lots of people were still arriving (even after us). But the servers told us then that they had stopped serving food 30 minutes ago, despite food leaving the kitchen next to us, the servers still taking orders from other tables and the opening hours on the wall saying til 22:00 They said they would not serve us and left us standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant.
We have been to many local restaurants whilst travelling and are usually meant to feel comfortable. However, it felt like we were discriminated against in this instance just for being foreigners. It's disappointing because we have had a wonderful experience in Sri Lanka so far.

This review won't affect their business, but just a warning to other foreigners that this may happen to you.

Pure vegetarian restaurant by the Hindu temple. Indian & Sri Lankan foods. Meals are delicious. Clean and huge dining area.

Great vegetarian selection. Good value for money. Clean and quick service. But could be busy during busy periods. It looks like the place can sit around 100. We tried most of the menu items and they were all really good. The place has half walls and quite open, therefore, allows the breeze to come through, which is very welcoming on warm evenings.

Dosai not quit I expected, They have lot of Balaji Dosai verities, But taste is not like Original Balaji Dosai. It's very disappointment. Except that Place is Really good, Clean & Modern.
