You have to go through security check 4 times. Take notice of your gate, gates are in different direction with no clear sign boards.
Wash rooms are nice but could be better.
Food court is missing, only a few shops are available. Duty free is also not very lucrative.

Can rat 4/5 since they have some issues with the airport. Some officers at the service are not pleasent when they are dealing with the passangers.
Ovaerall quality is fine with WiFi and some other services provided by them.

Excellent Departure Terminal. Has all the facilities and amenities. The airport authorities are doing a wonderful job. For travellers, they have a Food City outlet with the normal retail price as anywhere in Colombo. So, in case you want to buy some small food items maybe to munch while waiting at the departure gate or even to buy some maybe local tea flavours at normal retail price or even some chocolates for your travel overseas as gifts. They have washroom which are well maintained and also handicap washroom. You can weight your luggage before you check in so that you can prepare before check in. Their information counters are well aware of anything you need help. They are equipped with wheel chair facilities for the elderly. Although they take time of about 15 to 20 minutes to get some staff assigned to usher you in the wheel chair after your get down from the vehicle. Excellent porter service and reasonably priced for Rs100 per luggage. Very very convenient for elderly traveling. Remember to convert your leftover Sri Lankan Rupees to convert to your foreign currency as there us no value for these in your country abroad. You must convert before you check in your luggage.

Good lounge with duty free shops but unfortunately they don't take Sri Lankan money. So you will be stuck with the last rupee notes, which you thought could be spent on goodies. Beware!

Dont buy food at the first kiosks, it is expensive and not fresh. Overall super stupid and slowly staff. If you buy water in duty free (after 2 sec. checks) u can pass only with 100ml, but if u hide it in ur bag u can have whatever u want :) - one of us passed with 2 liters - im talking about the third security check!

Tourists are to be welcom all over the world . Except here they are not good with them .

Shouldn't grumble at 3 sets of security. Staff around to help is handy given the poor signage. Emirates queue was epic and badly organised. Only 2 economy desks. Thankfully I went to business check in. Hot and uncomfortable.

I've never seen a airport like this.very stupid staff, they don't care about passengers. Poorest airport in the world that charge 2.5$ per person for the entree tickets.
