This is a District Hospital govern by Regional Directorate Puttlum under the North Western Provincial Health Department of Sri Lanka. The in Charge is a Senior Medical Officer known as District Medical Officer(DMO). This hospital doesn't have consultants. But it has 4 separate wards for 4 main specialties. This hospital serves lot of people and it badly need to upgraded as a Base Hospital.
