This was the perfect end to our trip. Very local village where literally everyone is kind and welcoming. Wilson, the owner, was one of the friendliest people we have ever met. I recommend anyone in St Lucia to stop by, you won't regret it. The food is delicious. This was one of my favorite rum punches on the island. And the sunset Was perfect.

The host was fab, the fish and rum punch were great, plus a fantastic beachfront view without mobs of package tourists in the vicinity. Wouldn't recommend the chicken though.

While I wait for Google to address this post, I will not allow Vana to lie about this business. This lady has been chased off (sometimes by the police) no less than three rental properties in the village of Laborie. She was kicked off GEF because she tried to put the workers in trouble. She was kicked off the Laborie Fishers Co Op. She tried to fire all the worker at the bar across the street so she could take over. She wanted to turn Salt Rush into a shop and so she upset because I guess she now realizes that not all locals are stupid and hungry for foreign cash. Some of us knows how to work hard to achieve. The God that I serve is alive and believe in Him. Ms. Vana. God is the other business partner at Salt Rush Café. No amount of lies can destroy this business. Your post of December 2017 is a 180 degrees turn from your June 2017 post. Stop trying to destroy another persons daily bread. Light will always overcome darkness. Google this lady has caused a lot of trouble in this village. Please take down this post because it is from a woman who is trying her best to take over local business and so far is not successful.

Like most restaurants in St Lucia, this one serves fish, chicken, or whatever might be available with a Creole sauce and "ground provisions" (starchy roots like cassava and eddoe). Service is friendly but slow. Food quality has been sketchy with this new cafe. Some food is re-used, so to speak. I once got chicken tacos made with leftover barbeque chicken. The sauce hadn't even been washed off. Last time I ate there. They often sell frozen instead of fresh fish because their business is so slow. Locals do not eat here, which is a big tipoff. View is spectacular. Nice place for a beer or two.

Hard to find.literally on the beach next to the pier (next to the Fishers Co-Op) with no sign outside but it is a green and orange building. Salt Rush is a family owned cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only place in town to get a morning coffee. Simple and inexpensive Creole food. Try the coconut bakes and rum punch.

Great place - location can't be beat and neither can the food for the price. Friendly staff. Sit on the swing on the beach while you wait for you food and watch the sunset. It's beautiful. Thanks Wilson!
