WARNING: thieves are working the markets, shopping areas, streets of the main cities and on all beaches DO NOT VENTURE OUT BY YOURSELF! Your chances of being robbed or harassed or in some cases raped is very high Crime has increased 10 fold in the past year.
Castries, Rodney Bay, Choc Bay & Soufriere are the worst; , these thieves prey on tourists. This is happening all over St Lucia and the tourist board does not want you to know
These thieves will approach you and grab your necklace, camera, purse, bags or backpacks; they will come from behind, knock you to the ground and beat you up trying to rob you OR they will use a knife
They are younger Lucian men, some with short, braided, Rasta hair and some with longer braided hair; usually wear back packs and ball hats
No one will come to your assistance including the police; everyone looks the other way thus helping the thieves escape BE VERY AWARE AS IT IS VERY UNSAFE IN ST LUCIAresponse / report this review -
