We had a fabulous week long all-inclusive vacation here. Nice beach, lovely resort and staff. Good food, drinks and beautiful Island. Would return.

THIS IS MINE AND MY PARTNERS SECOND VISIT TO HOTEL PAPILLON AT ST LUCIA AND IT WILL BE OUR THIRD NEXT YEAR. THE HOTEL AND ALL THE STAFF ARE SO AMAZING, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS "FAULTLESS". WE CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN ALREADY. 5*

We had a brilliant week staying at Hotel Papillon in April and were blessed with great sunny weather. The hotel has excellent staff who really helped to make our holiday very special. The staff were always professional, friendly, and eager to help. Highlights for us were: The lovely long golden sands of Reduit Beach, the clear blue sea, decent snorkelling, cuddling the friendly hotel cats, good food (local & international), good cocktails, clean spacious room, sailing on the hotel's Hobie Cat, and enjoying the lovely pool and the swim-up bar. Papillon has a great location with close proximity to the town and Rodney Bay marina. There was also good free Wi-Fi cover throughout the hotel and grounds. We are looking forward to returning!

Great location. Friendly staff. But do NOT book a standard room at this hotel. Noise from local night club is terrible and hotel will NOT support you with an alternate room.

Nice hotel - clean and comfortable - with a great beach.. closeby location to shopping and bars and restaurants if you want to have a night off the resort. Front desk and Air Canada reps are awesome, especially Matthew on the land and sea Soufriere tour - a definite must!

My spouse and I had an amazing time staying at this all-inclusive hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The best part of this hotel is the meals, especially the pastries. The hotel has a wonderful view of the ocean. It also contains two pools and plenty of space to lounge around. We are definitely coming back.

House maids need training esp .The proper way to make a bed. The TV did not work properly and was mainly American stations.

The hotel is a destination for the Americans who confirmed tbe statement. You hear them before you see them. And they did not dissapoint.

One should regard this hotel as a beach resort because of its remotness from anywhere. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay.

Our second holiday at Papillon and oh how they delivered. From Reception to the Gardens every single one as friendly and caring. The grounds are beautiful, the food was amazing with lots of choices each day for every meal, the drinks were so delicious and the general cleanliness of the whole resort was superb. Thank you for an amazing time with my family of 7 and we're looking forward to seeing you again soon.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This place is absolutely horrible. At first I thought it was going to be great, the staff greeted us and helped us with all our stuff. The front desk lady was very accommodating and helpful. That’s pretty much where the good service ended. The rest of the staff had horrible attitudes and made you feel uncomfortable. They never smiled or offered to help. It takes forever to get a drink and unless you flag these people down they may never even acknowledge you at all. They are very short and hardly help you. The resort itself is out of date and barely passable. Everything is very old. Now for the stories that are just over the top. When you go to a resort one of the main things is always the pool!!! And they closed it for maintenance for a whole day while we were there. They didn’t offer anything in return for shutting down? No alternative. They didn’t even apologize or call to warn us, they just posted flyers. And what appears to be a jacuzzi is just a like warm filthy pool. How do you not even have the jacuzzi water hot?! I couldn’t believe that. Now for the food. It is plain gross, the main buffet had horrible food. The snack bar was the only place that had edible food. They are suppose to stay open until 6 pm everyday. So after a few nights of horrible food at the main restaurant we decided we would try to get some food before the snack bar closed. I sat down at 540 pm and waited to be served. Nobody came out for 10 minutes so I went to find someone. They said they aren’t taking orders. That is crazy! This is an all inclusive resort! You are suppose to serve the customers not shut down 30 minutes early! And on top of that the WI-FI hardly worked!!! To sum this place up it is an out of date waste of money that has no focus on the guests whatsoever. Do your self a favor and spend a little more money to enjoy a real resort. Not worth the money or the one star.

The hotel is dated and in dire need of renovations. There are 3 restaurants, 1 buffet and the other 2 specialty. Men must wear pants or will not be allowed to eat there. The website makes no mention of this rule while the dress code is very specific on the site. There was mold on the ceiling in my room. There are very few activities and the service is the worst I've ever experienced. There are only 3 bars with 1 bartender each. They are not all open at the same time and are all closed by midnight. All beverages ordered while dining come from 1 of the 2 open bars. The bartenders must fill all dining orders while attending to all guests at the actual bar. With 1 bartender this is a time consuming and unpleasant experience both while dining and at the bar. There is nowhere to get food after 9:45pm and nowhere to get a drink of any kind alcoholic or non alcoholic after 12am - 7:15am . Most all inclusive resorts have food available until 2am if not all night and beverages available until 2am and water available always. The staff was unfriendly and not enough to attend to the guest properly.. The beach was beautiful as was the country. There were plenty of things to do outside of the resort in walking distance. I had my family with me and we made the best of it, however I would NEVER recommend this resort to anyone. It is a 4 star resort and I can't imagine how. If this is 4 star resort I would hate to see the rest of the lesser resorts.
The hostess at the Italian restaurant was the 1 bright spot. She was pleasant, attentive and all around classy individual. She was the only person who made me and the other 7 members of my family feel welcome. It is my belief that Americans were given worse treatment than all other nationalities. Once again St Lucia is beautiful but my experience at Papillon has insured that I will NEVER stay at a Rex Resort again.

Customer service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The property is clean and the rooms are well equipped.
The only thing that was not up to the overall high standard we experienced was the food. It was good but not great. I will recommend this resort to anyone who wants to experience a great vacation in St. Lucia

All inclusive and affordable. The food is great and the staff is even better. Will definitely be returning. Also, we stayed with our 6 month old and they were very accommodating. We didn't pay any extra for the baby.

Great resort, great beach, amazing people! The resort itself is quiet, but is only steps away from a few clubs, so it can be quite loud in the evenings. Lots of amenities near by with grocery, pharmacy, clothing, liquor stores no more than a 5 min walk away. Food was good, lots of options at every meal, and two a la carte restaurants that were delicious (Italian was amazing).

Terrible! Stay away! I cant believe Air Canada Vacations is giving this resort a 4*. We were in the hospitality business and this has to be the worst vacation ever. The drive to the resort was more than 90 minutes and was very very slow. As soon as we pulled up to the resort driveway (reminds me of the motels on Lakeshore Blvd. Toronto) i knew it was going to be a disaster. Thank goodness the beds were okay. and the room was clean . the buffet was small and was bland and served the leftovers from the italian and chinese ala carte restaurant. The pool bar poured the draft into an plastic container and then into your plastic cup. They dont know how to pour draft .There was no mint for mojhitos and they made the worst pina coladas .very minimal coconut mix in the drink, the only good thing there was the beach which i would give a 3 star and the ocean a 5 star. i think the air canada vacations staff should stay a week at the hotel and re-rate it. also it should be an over 60's rating (older couples)

After a week in early January at Papillon, agree with other reviewers great food that We never got tired of, nice beach with calm waters and swim off snorkeling, fantastic entertainment. Raw Element band and limbo dancers were the best I've seen in the Caribbean! Room was in good repair, beds a bit squishy but fairly typical. Going out in Rodney Bay on the Hobie Cats, paddle boards and kayaks was lots of fun. Shout-outs to the GM Guy Cabrera who was hands-on, Chef Mitchell overseeing the restaurants proactively and Nelly by the beach. The people make the difference!

There were only 64 or less people in the hotel the week we stayed here. All seven days my husband and I were the only ones at the pool. It was relaxing but no one to talk to or interact with. There is no activities director to get people up and active. The days were pretty boring.
There was no night life. There was one group that entertained us with limbo and fire show other then that the evenings were boring. One night they had karaoke but it ended up being a party for the employees and every one left.
The food was average but nothing exciting. The service in the buffet area was very lacking, they didn't not come often to refill your water or coffee. One evening I asked for a cup of coffee and they told me I could go over to the coffee table to get it myself.
The room was adequate but nothing special. They did not change the sheet often enough, I had to take them off myself after the 4th night so they had to change them. The patio door was very to hard to open and we complained about it but nothing was done. The door is very old metal. The shower was terrible, half the time there was not enough water pressure to have a decent shower and the low water pressure made it impossible to flush the toilet at times.
The best part of the resort is they have very friendly staff. The staff were complaining about not enough people come to the resort and they plan on leaving because they count on tips to supplement their income and they are not getting enough tips. The gardener works very hard and the foliage looks fantastic.
We get screwed by a Land and Sea tour $242 US we took. The person that sold it to us told us we would be taking a bur to the salt bath, mud bath, volcano, banana plantation and gardens then lunch and a catamaran ride back to our hotel. Well all we did an the way to lunch was see the volcano and gardens, when weer asked they said the other thing were not covered in our plan. We actually were in the bus for over 3 hours. The food for lunch was not good at all and they hurried us up. The catamaran ride back was ok except for the place they took us to snorkel was filled with jelly fish and we could not snorkel at all for fear of getting bit.
Over all this is a place I would never go back to or recommend.
