Beautiful Roman Catholic church on St. Lucia. The largest catholic church in the caribbean, built in 1899.

Loads of history, and amazing architecture and artwork. As churches go, this one is well ventilated, so it is cool for the most part, but there are still days in the summer, that will be hot almost anywhere you are.

The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception is one of the landmarks in Castries and I must say a quite impressive one at that. The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception is accessible from various approaches in the city and the exterior as well as the interior is worthy of note.
Photography of the interior is not only tolerated but actually encouraged (not to disturb an active service, mind you). My best friend from College is a longtime member there and speaks highly of the services and the many pleasant interactions there. Definitely a worthwhile point of interest in the Capital and the well kept grounds and Church buildings with interesting architectural and artistic details is a must see.response / report this review -

Historical church but they need to teach more about the true gospel of Jesus christ. We need revival in St.lucia. Wheelchair parking is available.

Lovely place to visit in Castries if you are a visitor, if you are local and reside in the central Castries basin, then that may be the best place to attend Sunday mass
