  My family of four spent 11 happy days at this property. It is a 3 double bed roomed villa that is large, light and airy. The rooms are very generously sized and have high ceilings - especially the on-suite master bedroom, which has fantastic views out over the sea. A number of the windows had built in mosquito screens (with no holes in!), so it was great to be able to enjoy a breeze at night without getting bitten! Being slightly up a hill, there was always a breeze when we were there, which not only kept the pests away generally, but also meant that to our surprise, we did not use the air conditioning - however, it is there if you want it.
  
  There is a new plunge pool for a touch of luxury! Although we did not go in as much as we expected, it is nice to have and a lovely seating area to eat outside has been created adjacent to it - great for breakfast outside to start the day!
  
  The owner's car hire business is based in the lower ground floor, with spare cars stored there. This is at an entirely lower level to both the property and the plunge pool/seating area and therefore does not intrude into your space and indeed we generally welcomed have some limited comings and goings for added security, although it already feels safe.
  
  The house is located centrally on the west (Caribbean) side of the island. It would suite independent minded travelers want to explore this beautiful unspoiled rural part of the island. If you want other tourists, planned activities and a choice of restaurants within walking distance - this house is not for you. Go to the north of the Island. However, if you want to discover walks through the rainforest, waterfalls and hidden beaches (some all to yourself!), as well as visit the beaches of a few of the expensive exclusive resorts (all beaches are public), as well as getting to know the real St Lucia, then this place is great. There are a number of good snorkeling/diving spots locally, which suited us. A car is a must. Roads are very steep and windy, but reasonably empty and very beautiful.
  
  Enjoy exploring from this great base with a friendly and helpful owner!
