The employees are very rude, they are always playing around wich results in a lot of time wasted on one car and a lot of angry people waiting in line. Very slow service very bad and rude employees and too expensive since you have to pay about 35,000 for cars and 10,000 for motorcycles on a service did not order by t are OBLIGED by the government to undergo (it should be free)

Quick and better service than it used to be. It is a drive through inspection process. You pay your dues and wait in the assigned line until you reach the inspection point. You walk to the visiters lane and wait about 5 minutes to get your car's result. The final mechanic congratulates you for getting a blue paper or suggests what you should do if you get a red one.

The services are faster. There is no separate queue for women and men, and you don't have to go to a separate building to get your ticket. They created counters from where you can pay for the service without getting out of the car. The check up became twice as fast as well

Great improvement done this year. You can really feel the difference. The new procedure is saving a lot of time. Hope they will keep on improving.
You have to set out of your car on time, only when you reach the inspection point. You do not have to wait in a long line to be able to pay and get your ticket.

Really not as bad of an experience as I was expecting. This process is something do-able in case you don't have anyone to do it for you. There's a line for females, which makes it a little faster if you fall into that category.

You have to wake up early and arrive at 6 am in order to avoid standing in a long queue. Expect a waiting time of minimum 1 h 30 min. Employees and mechanics are slow and disrespectful. While my car was being inspected, the mechanics where chatting together and wasting my time. The whole system needs to be changed so that customers won't wait for a long time or spend their whole day at this place.

It is unacceptable for the process to take 3 hours. Not to mention that you spend atleast 2 hours melting under the sun waiting for your turn. It can be organized in a much better way.

More than crowded, dirty & silly people. Lebanon will never be a respectful country, because its governors will never change.
People are still standing in rows for 2 hours to get the Vehicle inspection coupon, plus waiting for 4-5 hours to pass the inspection line like sheeps.
I love this country, but hate all what is in it! 😑

Lebanese are chronical naggers. And most of the time, it's their fault for everything in this sorry excuse for a country for being so F'd up, cause they have such a hard time following rules, abiding by the law and containing their overblown ego and pride!

The annual car inspection is far more lenient in Lebanon than it is in civilized countries. And still people here complain!

I own a 1992 Golf VR6. I take good care of it, fix and maintain it myself (No I'm not officially a mechanic but a DIYer). And the only times my car failed inspection is when it had a significant cracked windshield and a worn out front control arm bushing.

The only advise I can give are:
1- Be patient, it won't take as much as rumored, you'd probably be done within 2 hours if not less. Coming in early may help.
2- Carefully read and follow the rules as well as the instructions and mind the signs. And don't listen to others' BS! People here tend to exaggerate and blow things out of proportion!
3- The inspection may very much enlighten you to problems you may not have realised your car had! So be optimistic about it! Cause it may save your life and the lives of others!

Goverment facilities are catastrophic in Lebanon. Mechanic inspection is a small part of a corrupted system where you have to pay extra fees for illegal « semsar » to let you pass the process without having to wait hours of wasted time in lanes and avoid being humiliated.

Don't wait till the last minute. Always crowded! Sacrifice and wake up very early like 6AM to finish up early. Check everything in your car prior to your visit (Wheels, All the lights, Signals, Plate Number should be clear just use a Black Marker to paint the numbers, Wipers, Seatbelts) Don't forget Your ID and The Car License and make a Copy of them, and better to carry L.L. and not $. Good Luck :)
