This place has so much history! There's a lot to see and explore. The temple is beautiful from all sides. It could get a bit sunny so if you don't wanna get a tan, make sure to apply some sunscreen and bring a hat.

An incredibly well preserved Roman temple site. The Temple of Jupiter would have been superb in it's day, however today there are only a few columns left standing. In fact, the 6 columns "in a row" are, what I have heard, what most Lebanese associate with the Baalbek site. The nearby temple of Bacchus is much better preserved, but in it's day would have been dwarfed by the temple of Jupiter. Well worth the visit if you're in the country.

The largest and most glorious Roman temples ever built, they are also among the best preserved. The Temple of Jupiter still held 6 standing columns today. The temple was ruined by earthquakes, 8 columns were taken to Constantinople (Istanbul) for incorporation into the Hagia Sophia.

The trilithon or 3 giant stones were put in place a long time ago by the astronauts who came to earth. This was a rocket landing place for them. Read Z. Sitchin books for answers to a lot of questions. This place was one of the few places that survived the great flood about 13,000 years ago.

This place is the most amazing roman temple i have ever seen. The size of it and the structure is unreal. How did they build and move such enormous stones is still a mystery.
