I expected a better lunch buffet from a five star hotel. Friendly reception nevertheless. Nicely equipped meeting rooms.

Well I just rive by it now these days .But in early seventies it was one of the best hotels in
BEIRUT I used to go their to have a beer with some nuts and something else that goes with it. I sit at the balcony that overlooks the medateranian sea .beautiful view and the hotel is packed by tourists mainly from Europe and North America at that time.people liked that place for its location and comfort rooms and probably they had good food and excellent service. It is a five star hotel for SURE. The American University of Beirut is nexet door to it only a 200 metres Away. They drag lots customers from their campus for sure.this university is considered the best Educational institution in the middle East.

Beautiful nice views on the Mediterranean sea and a nice place to spend your vacation if you have some money. You can walk on the Cornish in the evenings and it is quite near AUBThe Riviera tent and beach is quite cozy too.pp

It's good but quite outdated. The breakfast buffet wasn't great and not much variety. The juice wasn't fresh. The croissant and french pastries were very good. There is no view at their porch facing the street. The buffet food area is a Bit small

We spent the day on the beach lounge. It is lovely, very clean with good service. There are a nice collection of kiosks right next to the pool, and you get a lovely view of the lighthouse and mediterranean sea from the tables.

My issue with it though was that the pool is relatively small and shallow for the number of people the place can handle. On a weekend it can get very crowded.

In my vacation to Lebanon, I was denied access to a unisex resort, Riviera Resort, because of my sex. Men are apparently NOT allowed to enter the Riviera Resort without women, because of their "hotel policies". The guard, which is in the picture below, said he didn't allow any men to enter the resort without women. That's NOT fair!

It's not fair to be discriminated by your gender. My tour to Lebanon from Denmark has now been greeted with discrimination. I recommend everyone who is considering to try Riviera Resort, not to fund discrimination and try something else.

We lounged by the pool area which looked great and the music playing was quite good. The water was crustal clear and the temperature was amazing. The waiters trying their best to cope with the huge crowds. We ordered some food to the pool area which arrived cold and what could only be described as mediocre especially for the price. Another complain is that the valet took about 10 mins to bring the car around. There is minor shade outside while waiting for the car which could be improved drastically.

dirty and overpriced, breakfast used to be amazing and now not a third of what they had, I'd been dreaming of their freshly made scrambled eggs for months only to find an already-made and not so tasty egg thing.

Rooms are dated and the service left a lot to be desired for such a large price tag. Towels, soap, mugs were taken away each day without being replaced. Poor breakfast which was not worth US$20 per person. Was told the pool was not available yet there was a pool party whilst we stayed there. If I could give a nil rating I would. Mentioned complaints to management and they couldn't care less and offered no apology. Wished I'd stayed elsewhere.

Good location and seaside pool (seasonal), questionable cleanliness of rooms (carpets, curtains, furnishings) in dire need of a renovation. A bit overpriced for what you get

I love this place. Its amazing, but the problem is that the timings I came in the beach and the pool were closed for maintenance and it was not mentioned on the website. Although the whole family was ready and excited for swimming. The view is amazing though! It is seriously priceless but on the other hand there are some rooms without sea view and look at apartments in front of it. There are amazing restaurants outside of the hotel too. Very close.
