  The Lebanese personnel at the embassy are very nice and professional. However, the American personnel that I had contact with were typical political hacks who couldn't run a 7-11 in the real world. It seems like the U.S. State Department goes out if it's way to hire and recruit people based on diversity instead of qualifications.

  I felt like i was visiting the 3rd world embassy with the security personal at the front door, thank god they don't represent the US Embassy staff in the main building, but for those folks that don't know that, the security personal is so rude in their approach with local citizens old and young alike with very little consideration to the people who are visiting the embassy. No respect to even US CITIZENS when my daughter went to get her SSN as requested by her Lebanies Employer AZADIA CO.
  I walked her to the door only and just before i turned around to leave back to the parking, the door man or front door security, shouted at me saying who are you? I said am her father and just walk her to the door, HE, shouted again saying you can't come here get back right now to the parking and don't come near the embassy door, very loudly and very rudely.
  Well i said am still an american citizen since before you were born son, and it's not your fault having this post, it's the people who are in-charge of security who act like their at war with the Lebanies people and run the application for a job at the embassy through their contacts and or relatives who happen to have been working there for some time.
  Again the point am trying to make is that, the embassy will hopefully one day do its own hiring process and not rely on security staff bringing in friends and or relatives to get a job with the embassy just because they have their foot in the door.
  this incident have happened on 3 different occasions, in the past 14-months.
  I hope this time round we're treated with little respect when we come in to renew my daughter's passport, as she will be traveling to visit friends and relatives in Hollywood Los Angeles in the near future.

  Unprofessional and disrespectful employees, I am a US citizen and I was trying to walk my wife to the door to get in line and security kicked me away to the parking lot in a very rude way, the security open doors sometimes ten minutes before schedule and people runs across street and risk their lives crossing the roads in front of speeding vehicles to get a spot. This is not right I hope someone who is responsible reads my comment and tries to change something about this. Finally I'd like to thank the consul for issuing my wife's visa.
