In terms of service, this place has improved a lot since last year. We felt very welcomed and taken care of, focusing on every detail to make the experience enjoyable. Food was and is still great. Lovely place to spend your family Sunday lunch.

the view is just astonishing although the area itself is a basic town but you can just relax on this terrace enjoying the view, the breeze and the silence, staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is traditional and home made and it tasted great, the place is very cosy and picturistic but the rooms are basic.

I don’t like to report such thing on public but due to their unacceptable and careless treatment I will.

1) No one welcomed us although we called that we are coming.
2) No one to help you, you have to go to the reception to ask for the menu.
3) Menu has “Qoumara Breakfast formula” without a description (yes because the customer has to guess)
4) The presented formula isn’t completed as they said.
5) The portion let me stay silent would be better. The fool was that of CANS!!
6) Asked for bread we waited more than 20 minutes (Why not to ask again? There’s no one to ask!)

Here’s the full story:
We went 2 to have a breakfast, first no one welcomed us, we sat one a table and waited for like 10 minutes and no one asked us what we would like to eat, so I went to the reception to ask for the menu, the menu have the “Qoumara Breakfast formula” without a description (yes because the customer has to guess) and definitely there’s no waiter or someone to ask (although we were during their breakfast time) so I went to the reception to ask what this breakfast formula contain and I order it, upon their delivery of food we asked for bread, 15 if not 20 minutes nothing was delivered no waiter to complain again, I went to the reception to complain, in 10 seconds the bread became ready, after the food was served there was no “Manakish” although the formula do contain, we asked for them they said sorry no mor Manakish! The portion was too small and the worst thing is fool that was the “CANNED FOOL”!!

Previously a boarding school, Deir el oumara is a nice authentic hotel. all rooms are spacious, have a nice view on the central court, typical of Lebanese architecture. the views from the hotel are very nice and the restaurant food is very good. unfortunately, the rooms are old and not well maintained.

It's a quiet, authtic serene place for a quiet, charming get-away. Place is clean, with very friendly young staff. Sceneries are stunning. Only drawback, the rooms are warm at night in the August summer. Fans do provide some cooling.

the place is very nice and it looks old, but actually we faced a problem in the reservation we arrived at 2:30 pm they told us that the room was picked by someone else, so they gave us the manager room that was horrible :D
