One of the best discoveries during my short stay in Beirut. Super friendly staff, good cocktails and decent food. I had Gin'n'Basil that day; and it was wow. Perhaps day was too hot and cocktail made it bearable. In all cases I would come here again anytime. I loved the hipster atmosphere.

Take a west village manhattan cocktail bar and plant it in the middle of Hamra. Replace the bartenders and clientele with locals and a select few lucky travelers - this is Ales & Tales. Stumbled upon this place unexpectedly and couldn’t have been more fortunate. Heart and soul goes into the drinks that Ahmad and Ralph conjure up for you. The fine attention to detail is truly impressive and If you’re in the neighborhood, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t stop here.

My new favorite place to have few drinks with friends in Hamra.
This place is neatly designed, friendly and helpful staff, and they open till super late at night.

In the heart of Hamra you will find this mesmerizing bar.
They offer the best and most creative cocktails in the world!
Their service is really good and fast considering the huge amount of order they have to juggle.
The place is huge it’s made of 3 levels, the first one is the entrance, bar and a few tables, the second is a cozy library where you can have a read in the afternoon or during happy hour and the 3rd is a beautiful well decorated rooftop overlooking Makdessi street.
The offer happy hour from 5 to 8 i think where everything is half the price.
They have the most exquisite beer collection from around the world.
A huge range of international wine.
And the food menu is breathtaking so tasty and always a surprise.
Everything is very well priced nothing will be too expensive.
On Christmas, new year, the place’s anniversary and halloween they have the most beautiful program, it will feel like a different place.
Ask for Ralph or Hicham they will make sure you have the best experience.

Amazing cocktails, open until 5 & 6 am ; best owners, alive and will hangout with you. If you wanna to live the real Beirut terasse in a bar like cantine with a nice ambiance this is the place to go to.

The cocktails are made with so much passion that you won't be able to resist. Not only did the taste of every cocktail I ordered was amazing, but they all had such a beautiful presentation! The food menu had such a variety that no matter in what mood i was in I always had something delicious to order. it's a cosy place with friendly staff. the staff will make you feel at home! I love this place.
