  وينسب مسجد القصار إلى الشيخ علي القصار الذي كان له زاوية يعود تاريخ بنائها للقرن الثامن الهجري، تقع في السوق وسط مدينة بيروت تجاه الباب الغربي للمسجد العمري الكبير. وكان الحفاظ يجتمعون فيها ما بين المغرب والعشاء يتدارسون فيها القرآن الكريم. وعندما هدمت الزاوية حرص آل القصّار على باء مسجد في منطقة عائشة بكار بدل الزاوية المهدمة بجهود الأستاذ حسن القصار والقاضي السابق وفيق القصار عام 1352 هـ،/1934 م. والمسجد وقف للشيخ علي القصار لا يزال يقوم بالإنفاق عليه السيدين عدنان وعادل القصار.
