Al Hajj Ali is a very suitable place for someone who is willing to spend a chilly evening on the sound of Oud. They also specified a place in the upper floor for playing boardgames; which I loved!
I think it's one of the few places in Tripoli that offer a wide area for women to play boardgames freely outdoors!
Concerning the food, tbh I've tried it once or twice & it tasted just fine!

Served appetizer that we did not ask for. Sishkabab and mixed grill were cold when served. Tabbouleh like it was made out green cardboard. Even there were not many customers, waiters walking like zombies not seeing what the customers may want.
We asked to take the food home so to heat and have it the way it was supposed to be served, we were surprised with what we saw. Good portion of the leftover was missing.😂

Very delightful, amazing atmosphere and delicious food, highly recommended for people from outside the town.
They have live music and this guy playing oud and singing is amazing, the prices are slightly high but the service and food are worth it.the restrooms are very clean and appropriate.

The food was great also the atmosphere and so was the music played by the oneman show on 3oud, oldies songs! The owner was so welcoming and always smiling! It was our first time with family and for sure not our last! Great job

A serious competitor to famous traditional lebanese cuisine restaurants in Tripoli. The staff are professional at catering, very welcoming, and looking after your needs and orders all the time during your presence. Just tell the waiter to get you their choice of starters and you will be delighted and satisfied with a selection of hot and cold lebanese mezzas and some of them with special twist.
The design of the restaurant is very original, the prices are reasonable, and as overall experience I would say it is perfect.

    Recommended dishes:
Mezza: Sultan Basha (Aubergine with minced meat, yougurt)
Dessert: muhallabieh with ghazl el banet
