  This is a place that I do not miss visiting at sunset when I am in Sour (Tyre). The seaside terrace is quaint and uncomplicated and offers views of the most spectacular sunsets ever. Go during the week because space is limited and the terrace is extremely popular during weekends. While many go to watch the sunset - with a bottle of Sunset Rosé (?) - some seek a full dining experience. If the food comes second to drinks and the view, you will be happy. Otherwise, you may feel that the owner is not putting as much effort as needed. Turning this place into a fancy eatery may end up disappointing regular customers who like Al Fanar for its casual old world feeling.

  What a beautiful place to have a coffee, meal, or place to sleep for a night. Literally on the water with active waves crashing nearby. So lovely and rustic. Love the vibe here. Not super packed during mid day on a spring weekend day. Good time to visit!

  I found hairs in the fries and hommos platters and when i complained, it was disregarded and not even an apology was offere.
  Very bad customer service and no concept of hygiene or food safety.
