I cannot comment on the "bar service". I can only comment on the late lunch dishes I had

The Luang Prabang Salad ingredients were swimming in too much sesame dressing, which also made the lettuce quite soggy. The abundance of sauce on top of the very small amount of spaghetti noodles tasted as though it was right out of a can. The small handful of Pad Thai noodles with pork was very very bland. The portions were very small.

Two stars because the Coca Cola, the 7-Up, and the big bottle of Lao beer were cold, which was very refreshing on a hot day.

I have never visit such a terrible restaurant. Bad service, bad taste and not cheap.

Ate Lao food both times, excellent sticky rice and lahb. Fast service and very well priced. Great location too at the end of the night market. If less western food and more Lao food would be 5 star.

Just the oldest restaurant in luang prabang, with a plenty of dishes, also with Western food, but i recommend the local food, really good.

Worst food in Asia so far.. My sister stupidly ordered an English sounding chicken dish with cream cheese and "herb" (no herb) that honestly looked like the aftermath of a bukake party.. I wouldn't feed this mess to a stray dog.

The menu says it is the oldest family-owned restaurant in the city, probably one of the reasons it is perpetually busy. They have a huge menu of local and international dishes. It is more affordable than the other restaurants in the vicinity but the food was quite underwhelming. Service was fast.

It's a cheap place and you get what you pay. Had a burger which was supposed to be chicken (didn't taste like chicken at all) and mango with sticky rice which looked and tasted like fresh from the freezer of the local supermarket.
You can eat it and it's worth the money you pay, but not much more

Been there with a group of five friends on a Monday evening and didn't had a nice expierience at all. Starting with that they didn't had any kind of beef available: neither for a steak nor for Bolognese sauce of pasta.

Following this disappointment I tried to order some steamed rice with spring rolls. And I got shocked as hell when the stuff was honestly telling that the rice where out. Finished. Not available. Rice! In a SEA country which eats rice three times a day

Okay, so I order my spring rolls with French fries which they had. After a while all the food we ordered came and we ate.

By the time we ordered the bill we got the finishing challenge that we all had to pay the bill separately but only one bill. So the calculations started and those have been lucky who had their exact amount due. Because the stuff told us that they litteraly had NO change. In a restaurant! How can you run a restaurant without change?

For questions regarding why they don't had beef or rice or change we just got a smile as answer since none of the stuff spoke english. In the middle of a tourist town on the main tourist street. Pretty poor!

Friendly staff. A great place to watch world go buy. Beer is cold and glasses are chilled. Wifi speed here was one of the best we experienced in Luang Prabang but ymmv. Big beer lao is the standard 15000 kip (I wonder what the locals pay?)

Did not try food but restaurant was over half full when visited which is a good sign. Food seemed no more expensive than other places.

One problem we found after staying here a couple of hours was that even though you point at something on the menu they still got order wrong but that is more our fault for not speaking the local language more than them misunderstanding we after all in their country.

Good choice of western and Laotian food, quite an extensive menu. Laos spicy chicken salad was good as was the yellow noodles and vegetable spring rolls.

Sticky rice had clearly been reheated many many times, it was like a rock and completely inedible. The laab moo (Lao pork salad) was completely bland with no spice or flavor, nothing like I have had for 15 years in thailand or laos, the spicy pork sausage was similarly bland and flavorless. Do not eat here if you want to have real Lao food.

This restaurant is good but it had issues and somethings were inconsistent. Food was great both times we came and my girlfriend was crazy about their coconut shakes (very sweet). The lime juice, however, was perfect and refreshing the first time but warm, tarter, and served in a smaller wine glass the second time. Also, the fried rice had a few eggshells in it. Other than the food, the service was friendly and the place is clean.
