Great food, staff very friendly, Sean is a right character and his wife naly is lovely. Bit out of town but that's no bad thing if you don't want to head to the plateau. The road to and from is populated with lunatic drivers who don't understand how to use their massive 4x4's or tiny brains so if you're on a moped, beware.

This was my third visit to stay with Sean, Naly and their two sons Jack & Max. The family and their staff are now firm friends. I love staying by the Mekong and at Wopakok you can't get much closer. Set off the road it is only the cicadas that disturb the tranquillity.
Situated before the village of Champasak, Wopakok makes an ideal stop, be it overnight, lunch or refreshment break, on the way to or from Wat Phu (Vat Phou) which is a World Heritage site and well worth a visit.
Alternatively, and my reason for staying so often, it is a magnificent location to stay and chill out for a few days. Hosts Sean & Naly never fail to make their guests and diners welcome, (I recommend the fish in tamarind sauce). Without a doubt the most pleasant place to stay in this area. A very pleasant 4 days spent here by the Mekong river. Sean and his wife could not be more helpful or friendly. Great value accommodation and wonderful food in this tranquil and beautiful location.

The place looks amazing. Great design. Cool little huts around the area. A playground too.
We only had the cucumber salad. It reminded me of American salad, but a little different. We mainly had drinks. The pineapple smoothie, my boy liked.
The only thing is, the drive to the place is a bit far from main Pakse.
But I will go back there, next time I come to Pakse.response / report this review -

We stopped by the "House" cause it called our attention. We saw that it was a Hotel and Restaurant and decided to go in. We got attended by Sean and Naly, a really nice couple and a really nice family (with their kids Jack and Max). We enjoyed so much the time we spend there. The place is beatiful, so quite, in front of the river. They explained to us that they opened 5 weeks ago, they showed the rooms and dorms, they are charming. A lot of things were made by themselves (the tables, the chairs, the doors). They have a really nice conversation if you decide to talk with them, we really enjoyed it, they speak perfect english, french and laosian. They also have home made laosian food, you should try it. Ask for the name of the Hotel, funny story.

Super hôtel et restaurant, vue imprenable sur le Mékong, cuisine de grande qualité et chambre propre, pratique et au calme. Les wc-douche sont totalement neuf, comme l'entier du complexe. Rapport qualité-prix imbattable dans la région.
Vous êtes obligé de venir y faire un tour si vous êtes dans la région de Paksé ou Champassak. Il y a un bateau qui fait la liaison entre ses deux ville et qui vous déposera volontiers directement devant le complexe.
Cerise sur le gâteau le propriétaire est super sympa et parle couramment le français et l'anglais.response / report this review -

Magnifique hôtel une vue à couper le souffle, la cuisine et excellente et le prix est très abordable. À ne pas louper 👍🏼👍🏼 le plus belle endroit visiter au Laos

Beautifully situated on the river sunset .and sunrise view,s. So peaceful..and lots of big trees for relaxing in the shade.
