We stayed here 2 nights. Good price , private room with private bathroom and very clean. The best part , the two sisters are lovely and very kind! Like the rest of their family.

The woman that runs this place is an absolute gem, so friendly and speaks good English. The rooms are decent, but for the great price you get your money's worth.

Beware of psycho owner. He clearly has no business running a hotel. I've never met a ruder hotel manager/owner. He was rude, argumentative and threatened to kick me out just because I asked for the wifi password for my gf's phone.. (he thinks that guests are passing out the the wifi password with locals and slowing down his internet). That was just 1 of many crazy examples. I feel bad for his sweet wife. But truly, you are better off to avoid this place.

My Guest House experience is very limited, so I can't really compare it to other guest houses, but overall I liked staying at the Wat That Guest House / Mala Dressmaker place, and I'd stay there again.

I never met Ms Mala, as she was vacationing in Chiang Mai at the time, but I met her father, mother, sisters, and in-laws, and they were all very, very nice and helpful people. They are the main reason I would return there.

I felt that my things in the room were safe when I went out, mostly because there was usually someone downstairs, or sitting outside the house, and the rooms were upstairs.

The room was fine. Location was good for me. They charged me 100k kip, for a fan room, which was good, I think.

They did my laundry, with a machine, for the typical price, and everything was fine. I parked my motorbike in their house at night, which they insisted upon, for my sake.

Absolutely nothing special about this place. We stayed in room no. 5. No fridge, no television. Overall not to bad for budget travelers.
