  Small informative museum with some exceptional artefacts, unfortunately not all of them properly labelled. In particular the Lingam collection relating to the Hindu Shiva worship of this complex is diverse and remarkable. The site itself was chosen for its Lingam-shaped mountain, with its water dripping down the spring still considered holy even by the Buddhist traditions that followed.

  เป็นสถานที่ที่มีคุณค่ามาก ปราสาทวัดพู เป็นโบราณสถานในประเทศลาว ซึ่งเป็นมรดกโลกแห่งที่สองของประเทศลาว เป็นโบสถ์พราหมณ์ที่สร้างถวายพระศิวะ ตั้งอยู่บนเนินเขาภู หรือเรียกกันว่าภูควาย ห่างจากตัวเมืองเก่าจำปาศักดิ์ประมาณ 6 กิโลเมตร ลักษณะของปราสาทเป็นเทวสถานขอม คล้ายกับเขาพระวิหาร สร้างในราวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 12 ในสมัยของพระเจ้ามเหนทรวรมัน ถือว่าเป็นปราสาทหินที่มีอายุเก่าแก่ที่สุด
