  Excellent value for money. You check in next door at the Travel Lodge. The rooms are set apart, spacious clean and well maintained. The food at the Travel Lodge is good too, for the money. Recommended for one night or as a base for the fabled 'Loop'. It's a little away from the centre so if you want to explore you'd need a bike, or be prepared for long walks.

  Get the newly refurbished rooms at the back. Entrance looks poor. Rooms are great

  Big, clean and cosy rooms, quite area in peaceful garden (for rooms 1 to 7, other rooms are in the "restaurant garden" so I guess it's not so quiet.
  Restaurant is friendly, people meet while chilling, good atmosphere. Food is good. (Thought on Buddhist new year - Songkhran - it was closed but I guess it's normal !)
  Staff is not so helpful and a bit lazy but nice anyway.
  I don't recommend renting a scooter to Villa Thakhek (we lost one hour the morning before going on the loop because the person we signed renting documents with was not there and the receptionnist wasn't able to reach him or to give us the scooter even as we knew which one it was And he didn't find the documents Good thing we weren't able to pay in advance !) Better rent your motorbike at Travel Lodge "Pokemon Go" (office 1 meter from Villa's reception), the lady is very friendly and funny and speaks good English and the motorbike (semi-automatic) was good (60000 kip / day , you pay in advance, if you decide to give the moto back one day late you just call or write to the lady via Facebook to warn her and no additional fee).
