Parkbeng
Pak Bang is a town that exists for the arrival of two (predominantly) tourist boats a day. Touts meet the boats and the shops closest to the water kick off the selling from 6.30am. Villa Sarika is the first guest house on the left as you walk up the hill from the water. Very basic, moderately clean (linen fine and bed ok) there is a large terrace outside the room with views to the Mekong. The shower works with hot water and the wc is western. It's a stop for the night
Totally doable for one night. Only complaint where the loose power outlets but we got an extension from the reception that worked. 8€ for double bed on arrival with slowboat
The location Is the closest to the port, the Rooms are Simple And bit noisy. Cleaningness average. They Have nice terrace with a rover View. Really nice at sunset and sunrise.
terrible bed. Mattress worn out. Owner is not trustworthy.
A great find for Pakbeng of you're passing through on your way along the Mekong. On the whole accommodation is expensive here but Villa Sarika provided everything you need in a clean and comfortable private room with bathroom. It is run by a friendly family who helped us out of a tricky situation when organising our onward travel.
Very conveniently located for the jetty.
