  Dirty dilapidated tourist town. Overrated, overpriced, tasteless food, unwelcoming locals. Laos in general fits this description. Spend your money and your time elsewhere.

  All night raves, rowdy parties and free alcohol for youngsters have gone but tubing and TV bars are still available. Nice surrounding scenery and many opportunities for active sports.

  Used to be one of the most fantastic spots in SEA. But now mega hotels obstruct the view and the town and it architecture is totally mismanaged. Give it a miss
