  This place is a godsend—-so comfortable, so friendly, so intriguing! A bit of everything going on here (Books! Bikes! Movies! More!) and at the wheel is Dave, who couldn’t be a more decent, helpful and down to earth guy. I appreciate all that he helped me with, and, if you’re passing through Savan, you’d do well to stop by and see what he’s got to offer.

  Like having your own comfortable screening room. The Canadian owner has a vast collection of films and is extremely accommodating.
  He also rents very well maintained bicycles and motorbikes.

  The bored room is the best place in savannakhet to hang out after hours. The movie choices are current, in English (and/or with English subtitles) and of good quality. Easy to access and highly recommended.

  Nice and cozy place run by canadian expat Dave, he is the man! So far I only came here for bicycle/motorbike rental service, but I'm looking forward to attend some of his movie nights (8PM every night) have some chats with fellow travelers while having some beers. We had nice chats and he can tell you what do to within or around the city, he's very professional and checked the conditions of the bicycle and air pressure before I went out for a stroll. So if you're looking to chill out but it feels like that there's not so much to do in Savan (or you're a visa runner like me) definitely go to the Bored Room and spend some time here!!

  Ill start off by saying that Dave is a top bloke and a lifesaver! During our time in savannakhet we saw two movies at the bored room and hired scooters. Dave also organised the retrieveal of a forgotten passport and facilitated the repair of my bicycle. His knowledge of the local area and his warm welcoming personality made us feel at home. Could note rate any higher.

  Bonne expérience de location de vélos. Dave est très disponible et m'a indiqué un itinéraire de balade intéressant. Il propose trois types de velos pr tous les budgets. Il a aussi un petit cinéma ou il projete chaque semaine. Je recommande !

  If your in savannakhet for a few days this is a good place to go in the evening for drinks and a film. Very relaxed atmosphere hosted by Dave a canadian expat who was very friendly, accommodating and all round good chap. Also he's a wealth of information about the area and more than happy to answer any questions. He also hires out bikes and motorbikes. I rented a basic pushbike which was perfect for exploring the area. I ended up going there every night as he had a ton of films i wanted to see! Big thumbs up!
