So many cloth, jewellery and mobile shops inside. On a busy Sunday morning it is so hot inside even the air conditioning is turn on. They call it as morning market in Vientiane.

Used to be very unique and old place. After renovation, now it's just a boring mall. But a good place to buy Lao silk and souvenirs.

The mall itself contains shops retail and wholesale of about everything from clothing traditional and casual to hand-craft, electronics, jewelry and more.. The surroundings are just amazing with food, Laos baguettes sandwiches, but behind the mall is a nice place to spend some time watching watchmakers precise work and jewelers working, melting and reshaping gold..

It was an iconic place. Anyone who come to Vientiane must visit. It lost its charm when a new modern building was built, although they have left a quarter of the old one in the original condition. For first timer in Vientiane, is still interesting to visit, but don't expect much.

Fake handbags, Lao traditionel fabrics, shoes, accessories, gold (the orangy/yellow type) clothes of mediocre quality. Not that impressed, but really you cant do good shopping anywhere in Laos if you are looking for pristine things. Visit if you haven't experienced a mall in Asia yet. Didn't find any food there either, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I bought some perfume at one of the stalls which turned out to be fake. The food court was nice but this is clearly an older mall and it shows. Stalls have metal doors for closing at night and not all places are open. Second floor had an abundance of stores selling gold

The major reason why I still go there is becaue goods are sold in reasonable and not really expensive price and the variety ofproducts.
However, parking space is a must to be improved. Too little space. Too hot.Should have build the parking lot like central plaza shipping centre.
for real, Why bother to charge the parking from customers when no maintenance coming in the future?

VIETIANE, LAOS IS TOURIST TRAP: Very expensive compare to Thailand, no club, no girl, food are over price, hotel are over price, poor WIFI, nothing to see, no tour group and TUTUK are ripped off. STAY IN THAILAND.

There is a huge range of gold shops on the second floor. Ideal for bringing guests to buy jewellery souvenirs. The coffee shop on the first floor has WiFi

LOST! CANT FIND THE WAY AROUND.. Haha.. It's a really unique shopping mall, too much of stuff.. U can try to find everything u could think of.. But it's going to be old version of it.. Anyways, it's fun to see such shopping mall like this.. Great experience.

The main building here looks like it has seen better days with the top floor now sitting vacant. The more fun thing was to visit the booths in the shopping areas outside the main building. Good selection of souvenirs, (mostly silk fabrics and things made from them), clothes, electronics, etc. Not much in the way of food other than coffee shops.

not much of a mall, but it contains the morning market which extends around it, mostly in front of and on the sides, and up to the street near the bus station. this is where mainly Lao people shop and has respectively sized clothing of contemporary Laotian style, basically western, so you you have to look around. here are there a few interesting stands with unique Laotian crafts. If you are looking for fresh food and better deals, go to the Khua Din market (it is easy to miss because it is down a side street) that is just a block away by the bus station.

Awful mall don't waste your time there. The stores are all crappy, there's no supermarket, the 2 top floors are abandoned. It's old. It feels like a ghost mall.
Whatever you're looking for, they probably won't have it.

Air conditioned with everything you need. Went there for some clothing for work, an adapter and a sim card, got everything I needed and more. Some shops were still closed up when I was there and tuk tuks from outside will be expensive

Talat Sao is one of the first markets you should visit in Vientiane. There are plenty of old-school 'nick-knacks' to be found on the grounds (next to the the bus depot), & bargaining is expected!
The newer building gives a modern environment, with plenty of modern 'bits & bobs'.
