They have several elephants that are chained to trees. Absolutely horrible. You wil see in their eyes how sad and miserable they feel. Please don't go there unless you want to support elephant exploitation.
I'm waiting 28 minutes for a smoothie
Gorgeous property with waterfalls and excellent restaurant. Very peaceful
The room was dirty and full of bugs and geckos, which is not a real issue but kind of is considering how much they charge for the room. The staff is very unhelpfull, we were obviously disturbing them as they played petanque... We left about two hours after we arrived.
The Main House reminds on an african lodge. the lodge without question sits on the best place of the river, between two cataracts. The mainpart of the other guesthouses don't even look at the river. But everything is nearby, only some minutes walk.
From the main house you have a great view over the river with its many small cataracts and the two elephants of the lodge while they are bathing twice a day. Great experience to touch and hug these huge animals!
The lodge has beautiful surroudings.
We had a room only, not a Bungalow, and ist was really big with good bed and large bathroom.
Price (50 $) I found to high for Laos, but we did'nt want to change after we had arrived and just wanted to have a beautiful relaxing place - and that you find here.
Food is o.k., not overwhelming.
Laziest staff i've ever encountered.
the perfect setting. watch elephant bathing at 16.30, afterwards come and feed/pet the elephants beside tad lo falls, all for free. we stayed in one of the lovely bungalows right beside the falls and had a glass of wine/dinner in the lodge watching the falls during sunset. thoroughly enjoyable. the manager is a very down to earth guy from the USA
Very expansive considering the quality of the room.
