  This is a great location for a photographer because of the French Colonial buildings - unfortunately many are being renovated rather than being restored, meaning that the area is fast loosing it's original charm. I am still looking forward to my next visit though, there is always something interesting to see and photograph.

  Some people might say that there are not a lot of places to go in Savanakhet, but for me every corner of this peaceful and historical city is worth a slow walk and photo shots of beauty of simplicity of Laos, and certainly including this night market where we had a lazy seats enjoying Beer Laos in a chilling night and the gentle blow of Mekong River bliss.

  Well, let's face it there's not exactly a lot of places to go in Savannakhet Check out Lin's Cafe, and head down to the river (that's if you manage to walk past the pub)
