Best hotel on the area. Quiet, lovely view over the river, great food. Owner needs to paint the bottom of the pool so it doesn't look green with algae (it isn't but looks like it is). Staff spike highly of the French owner being friendly and kind to them. How often does that happen! Really worth a couple of nights here.

This comment is for the bar and restaurant.
Good. Beautiful setting, lovely grounds and view.
What can be improved.
They didn't give us a warm welcome, or a welcome at all.
Service on a Saturday evening had only one man serving in the bar, he took nearly 30 minutes to bring us a drinks menu.
The restaurant opens at 7. So we only had a short 20 min wait.
Then upstairs unfortunately they only had a few tables on the balcony with the gorgeous view. So we sat inside.
There were only 2 people working in the restaurant with about 70/80 diners. So many waited for service. Which is the managements mistake. But the staff were miserable and devoid of customer service.
We finally placed our order and had a long wait to get our food. One table of 4 which arrived after us, had there dinner served before us. Which was upsetting.
The food was nearly inedible. I had the taster menu, my friends had a good selection and it wasn't good. There saving grace was the pudding which was a mango rice dish. Lastly 10% service was automatically added.
So overall.
Beautiful setting. Bad food. Bad service. Your choice.response / report this review -

It's like an enclave of quiet and order in Vang Vieng. Pretty well maintained garden with a swimming pool. The rooms are cosy and tastefully decorated. Nice view on the river though it's somewhat blocked by the bridge. The restaurant is pleasant and surprisingly affordable. However they had staffing issues for dinner that night and we waited a lot despite the helpful and nice waiters doing their best. Did was okay for the area and price. Although my mother's hamburger was tough and gave her stomach ache. Breakfast was good.
Overall the hotel is nice but could be better for that price.response / report this review -

I didn't stay here, only went for a dinner. The garden & the pool look great. It can be truly called "Resort" The restaurant is very pleasant to have a nice dinner. I just had a well prepared Khao Piak sen(45,000kip). Though I already had it for lunch on the same day.
The price is worth it to have a decent dinner & ambiance.
It was fully hearty! My favorite Laotian food!
Recommend make a reservation for a better table on terrace.response / report this review -

The room is not as well decorated as they say in the picutres post. The location is far from the main downtown.
They are understaffed. There are not enugh spupplied during the breakfast. You may have to use the warer glass instead of coffee cup.

The resort has great views and a lovely pool but not a great place for family. It was going to be an extra USD50 for an extra bed for our 5yo. In addition the facility is a little dated, we had a light in our room which turned on mysteriously at night which took staff ages to fix. While they were in the room they noticed the static on the TV which our daughter was watching so attempted to fix the cable, by the time they were done, the TV was no longer working. To be fair, they offered us a change in room but it was nearly 9pm so we opted to stay put plus TV not working is not really a big deal but the next day, we were surprised to find out we were charged LAK120,000 (USD20) for breakfast as our daughter had a pancake & watermelon juice from the buffet!
