This place is awesome! If this place were in Houston I would go every week! The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Also the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I would highly recommend to anyone passing through, seriously if you don't come here you're missing out.

Stayed here just under a week with my family. Lovely guest house with friendly staff. Close to everything with a great variety of meals. Very good customer service. Clean large rooms with soft beds and great food. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Nice place, food ok (Indian) and very, very friendly staff. Although before the music started to play, the place felt like a library (nobody talked due to this). But this changed when jazzy sounds were played and people visibly started to relax more. Food is great, roti little chewy but the curries excellent. Absolutely something to go back for. Drinks are cheap and the food is reasonably priced. 2 persons, 1 dish each, 4 beers (beerlao) and a brownie just over 600 baht.

If you’re in Savannakhet this is where you want to stay for a mid-range budget place. Good location - if you’re taking the bus try to bargain the tuktuk from the drop off point to 25 or 30,000 kip to the hotel. The upstairs rooms are pretty homey with wooden floors and an okay mattress. Shower is of course going right onto the bathroom floor but that’s the norm in Lao unless you spend like $50 a night. The best part here is the staff and food. The food was surprisingly good and the brothers who run this place are really nice.

Nachos were delicious and good portion size. Tortillas were disappointing, not very tasty and tiny portion.
    Quick and friendly service.
    Not very cheap prices.

I stayed at Pilgrim's Kitchen and Inn for just one night, but my experience could not have been better. My room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and I loved having to walk through the equally spotless kitchen to get to it. I needed to find a driver to take me across the border and then to the post office in Mukdahan, Thailand so that I could ship a couple of heavy boxes to the US. Pilgrim's owner, Danny was able to find someone to help me with this, and he negotiated a great price. This request was clearly above and beyond the call of duty for a small inn, but Danny handled it pleasantly and professionally. The breakfast was great too!

I stayed at room 4. Apart of the toilet's vent is vented directly into the bedroom, I realized that the shower didn't work. It was too late to call the staff so I went to bed without a shower. The next day I went to see a staff about the shower and he came up with a pair of pliers. I was informed later that it cannot be fixed now. I was invited to have a shower downstairs in a different guestroom. For the ventilation, I had to shut the toilet door and keep my Aircon on at all time to keep away toilet smell.

But, it's still better than many places I stayed before. It's clean, quiet and had great coffee. I will come back.
