A Family guest house, they are so nice! Food is great! Rooms are clean.. and the setting is lovely and peaceful. Can not speak more highly of this place.. if i come back to tat lo i will be staying here again!

Nice owners, clean bed, hot water. We did have an ant invasion out of the wall at nightAs others have mentioned the ‘Lao dinner’ is really just a tourist dinner. The food is half Lao, half western.

An absolute must! I ended up staying here 2 nights. The NICEST people! Really clean and beautiful grounds, as well as facilities. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were VERY clean. The best part? Family meal! Every night everyone can pitch in and help cook a big meal that we all sit down at a long table and eat together. And I love this town. I'm really happy with everything. Thank you! 😁😁😁

Friendly and cosy, the rooms are basic but functional. The gardens are nice and the whole place is well kept and clean. The family are very nice people and if you have the communal dinner you will be roped into helping cook. I really enjoyed my time here, the atmosphere is great.

An amazing place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food, coffee and of course Beer Laos! Rooms are clean, showers are hot. I could have stayed here for a week! Sad to leave

Fabulous place and incredibly friendly people. Great communal meal last night of many delicious dishes. Frogs croaking in the night. Good sorry walls in and aping the village as well.brilliant, life affirming place

Nice guesthouse in the middle of the village. The rooms are pretty spacious with decent beds (not the standard plank mattrass) and clean bed linnens. No aircon, good fans though (we had 2). Our bungalow (60.000 kip) had the bathrooms between us and the neighbour, so no problems with "snoring noises".. :-)
The veranda of the bungalows in the back face the rice paddies, so a great view and very private.
The communal/family dinner is very good, as well in quality, quantity and price (70.000 kip for 2). We had 4 or 5 different very tasty dishes, take what you want. Even if eating with other travellers is not your thing, you don't have to get into the conversation, you can just enjoy your dinner.
Everything you eat and drink, you have to write in the little book at reception, pay when you check out.
Motorbikes are parked safely inside the garage at night.
All in all a nice guesthouse when visiting Tad Lo.
PS: just 300 meters up the road from the guesthouse is the access to the best view on Tad Lo.response / report this review -

The best place to stay and eat. Mr. Po and his family make you feel at home. Together with the good atmosphere and beautiful surrounding of Tad Lo a great place to visit.

Rooms are comfortable, owners are very kind, restaurant is awesome! You can try the family dinner but everything is good, especially the yellow curry. For breakfast, Chachouka is so good!

Nice guesthouse for those who wants to play "roots" :) The familly taking care of it is nice and the bungalows are OK, clean, with large beds and for the most expensive (which are still really cheap) private bathroom. Careful though the walls are really thins and you may share your neigbours snorring :)
