Really friendly family (and Alec and the volunteers too). Such a great friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You are free to choose whether you want to do nothing or do some of the activities on offer with the family. We did the jungle trek to the waterfall which was breathtaking (you'll be walking up the river so your shoes will be wet!) The dinner is cheap and filling, proper local Laos food - Mosquito is a genius chef. The rooms are wooden huts with a private shower, and balcony fit with hammocks overlooking the river. This place is paradise. You will stay here longer than you planned.

Lovely place, the best experience so far in Laos! The family is very welcoming and they share they daily things with guests. We stayed a few days, enjoying the calm and peace you can feel there. We had a couple of hikes to the jungle, visited their coffee fields and even went to a local house to welcome their newborn! Food is really good, always tasty and nutritious.

I struggled with the lack of food before noon, the lack of sinks and soap, and having diarrhea (and I think the lack of soap and sinks and having diarrhea are connected), and yet I was enjoying my stay here. It's beautiful and the community is beautiful. Then seemingly randomly, Alex (the manager) asked me to leave one morning saying "some people called and need the room." It was confusing but I was fine with it until later some other guests offered to share a room so I could stay longer. Yet Alex maintained that he "needed the room." There was no satisfactory explanation given for why he was suddenly asking me to leave. My stay at Nola Guesthouse quickly went from the highlight of my trip to the low point. I wish I hadn't stayed here. I feel really crappy about the whole visit now.

We Had an awesome time there! The People are all lovely and we felt verry welcome in the whole Village. Hope to Can visit this beautiful Place again. Thanks for the wonderful time!

Absolutely the best place in Laos, if not in the whole south-eastern Asia. This place is filled up with positive energy, wonderful people and magical charm. I will come again, definetely.

Nola guesthouse with Alejandro and all Lao Family is the place which made our travel great adventure and beautiful experience! Words are not enough to describe it. This is a new point on my 'must visit again' map ;-)

It was The best stay in Laos, it was a very Friendly experience, we had The Chance to learn from The real Laos People and make Friends. Its The best feeling to have Friends on The other end of The world. :)
