  Hotel has a good location to all the nearby tourist sites. Generally clean and pleasant environment, does not have heater and certain rooms don't have hot water.
  
  We booked a tour from the hotel. Journey was smooth but it was anything but affordable. The land tour cost 500 SGD for 5d4n excluding meals. Meals cost another 70 USD. A total of 600 SGD for a 5d4n trip in a third world country is very expensive! Bangkok and Cambodia both cost only 200-300 SGD. The tour guide and owner has the general view that tourists should be "donating" to this poor country, thus everything recommended by them would be way above the local price, about 3 times more - a rip off.
  
  My advise is don't get a tour from this hotel, most of the attractions are within walking distance. If you need to, just book a one day tour and pack everything that is 30 mins away into this one day - only 2 or 3 places are like that.
  
  The owners are also not sympathetic. We had 2 complaints about our room.
  1. Too far from our family who was allocated a room in another block about 1 min away
  2. No hot water bath in our room
  For the first complaint, they simply said, no special request was made and left it at that. No effort was made to help us stay near to each other despite us staying there for 4 nights
  For the second complaint, at first, they asked us to live with it. Telling them we didn't bath last night due to the cold weather and no hot water elicited zero sympathy. Finally we had to play the hard card to ask for a room change or a refund, only then did they assign us another room but this room is also not in the same block as our family.
  
  For the price of the whole tour I expected better service but am sorely disappointed. After the experience with them, I would not return to Laos as for the price, I can do better with other countries.
  
  Conclusion is: you can stay here but pray that you get you get the right room. Expect to shell out the bucks.

  This place is affordable and located strategically in town. It is within walkable distance to the night market, mekong river and loads of tourist hot-spots. The staff are friendly and well fluent in english. I've stayed here for both of my trips to Luang Prabang and I would recommend this place without a doubt.

  It was satisfactory, really well located and good breakfast, the service was good and the rooms had nothing special, but the bathrooms where not so comfortable. Overall a good place to stay, i really recomend it.

  This is a great place to stay in Luang Prabang. No noise problems or whatever. Rooms are nice and clean, excellent service level too. Another plus point: delicious pastries and coffee just a stone's throw away. ;)

  The hotel is located in the heart of the Luang Prabang City and it is very convenient to travel around. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. No communication barrier as they can speak English. The hotel ensured that the stay was fruitful by planning out a fulfilling itinerary. The hotel is owned by a Singaporean and a modern design room can be expected. Very clean and quiet hotel. Perfect place to stay for a retreat. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Ideal for a school excursion and family stay as well.

  The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to some of the best spots in the area. Rooms are spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

  Definitely a good location, many good places to eat or even to snack in walking distance. The location is also by the Mekong river so if you're around area at around September, you may be able to see locals practicing for a boat race which is fascinating.
  
  As for the rooms it's pretty clean cut. The exterior of the hotel has more of a local Laos look, but within the rooms it has a comfortable atmosphere. I came with a friend but stayed in a single bedroom that came with all the common bedroom commodities. For this price, you'll be surprised. The breakfast they offered wasn't just a normal bread and egg breakfast either. I recommend the noodle soup if you're having breakfast at the hotel.
  
  I haven't been to any other hotels in Luang Prabang but Mylaohome was without a doubt, a good choice.
