  Terrible experience with very poor service
  
  I never had such a bad experience with any accommodation before, while I have been traveling South-East Asia for more than three months now. When I arrived to Mr. B’s sunset bungalows (previously Mr. B’s guesthouse) he offered me a bungalow with common (squatting) toilet and shared bathroom, given that the bathroom-equipped bungalows were full. When I checked out the room the sheets were already quite dirty and had some ugly stains, but given the price and the fact that it was raining and getting dark I settled for it.
  
  When I arrived back to the bungalows in the evening after some drinks with my friends I found a huge hole in the door of the room. My neighbour informed me that two of the dogs staying on the premises had broken through the door and entered into the room. When I entered the room I could see that they had been on my bed. It is a mystery why the dogs entered the room, given that I did not have any food in either of my bags. When I wanted to inform the staff about this issue to at least get some new sheets, I could find no-one around. I knocked all the doors of the residential buildings, but there was no response. Given that I believed my chances of finding a new accommodation at 12 o’clock to be quite slim, I decided to take my travel-mummy-sheet and sleep in the room anyways.
  
  At 4 o’clock the next morning I was woken up by the dogs scratching the door of my room and the piece of wood I had put in front of the hole in the door. I waited outside till the first staff arrived at 6.30, when she literally saw the two dogs running through the hole out of my room again (even though none of my stuff was inside anymore). When I informed her about the issue, she first told me I should have come to her. When I said I actually did knock on the door several times and actually could see that no-one was there, she told me she was probably already asleep then. She subsequently refused to refund my night because ‘I had made use of the room and the fan’. When I insisted that I did not have much other choice given the absence of any staff or ‘emergency’ number to call, she literally said that she could only refund “if I had slept outside”. I left the premises at 7 in the morning without any apology or compensation.
  
  Other guests staying there at the time also complained about the poor cleanliness of the room (including cockroaches). Even if you want a real cheap stay, there are better options if you just walk a bit further into town!

  Very nice, clean and affordable place to stay. A room with fan, double bed, anti mosquito net and your private bathroom is 50 000 Kip. The 'simple' bedroom without the luxury of a fan, anti mosquito net and private bathroom is 30 000 Kip. The more expensive rooms are next to the river and have a super view.

  Good value for money, for 50K Kip you have a bungalow with good sunset view, fan and antimosquitos bed. Ah, and two hammocks. Staff is friendly. Cleaning according to the average of the bungalows in the island.
