Duty free shop near the border of Lao-Thai friendship bridge. But not many customers in duty free shop. Normally people just cross the border to Thai for buying the stuffs. Therefore, not many options in the duty freeshop

big place to look around and enjoy the aircon. we stopped over here for a break as we cycled from Vientiane centre to cross the border. there's a simple eatery and cafe.

Don't buy here. They trick you very badly. We bought 3 different kinds white and red wines, but ALL had the same juice that smelled like plum inside. We had to throw everything away. On Thai website like Pantip, many say the same. However, we just found out afterwards as it looks like a trustworthy shop. Can't talk much about other products, but as they trick very badly with drinks, I wouldn't trust the shop at all.

Not very impressive! Their air-conditioning was down the whole time i was in there! The weather is crazy hot!!
The price is not very attractive! Lacks of parking spaces!

Nothing special. You can get a coffee or some food if you have to wait and look for stuff to buy. It seems the prices are not very inexpensive but you can get global brands.

I am not sure which area this refers to. I Lao immigration is chaotic and badly organised. The mini buses are cheap but take you to shops where they get a kick back. The shops at the border are ok and the big air-conditioned shop sells good but expensive coffee. The bean coffee they sell is good and priced ok
