A ways upriver along the Mekong in Vientiane this place lives up to its name with views across at Thailand. It has over 300 items on the menu so I wasn't able to try it all.
Good spicy papyaya salad.
Not sure about the fake ducks in the mini pond though.

Good food, amazing live music and beautiful view on the mekong. The staff is very friendly too and the location quiet and there's plenty of choice on the menu!

A must place for newcomers aiming at trying typical Lao and Thai food delicacies, including some Japanese sushi. The lightings are not bright enough for one who is curious about the compositions of the dishes. Prices are handsome.

I was there during dry season, the view was so so as Mekong was dry. LOTS of flies, I oreded two meals and staff had to cover second one with additional plate. It was that bad. Meal was ok but I've eaten better and tastier in small local bars.

Hip Waterside Dining
After a day of exploring the temples and landmarks of the city, we wanted to dine somewhere relaxing. Our guide suggested Kong View and what a wonderful choice it was. The property is hip and spacious, with multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas, including lounges, bars and a stage for live entertainment. It was quiet the time we went, which was perfect for a relaxed lunch, but I can imagine it being a bustling hub in the evening. The food was delicious, the staff kind.

The excellence environment Mae Kong river restaurant with good taste, clean and romantic decorating suitable for evryone who be in love at reasonable price for menu list. I am very pround to recommend this place to you. It is not very far from central of Vientiane. To avoid any error ocur, please call to booking before journey should be better.

Very local place with very good food options. Prices slightly higher than most places but food quality here is much better. The place has a good view over the mekong river but in order to find this place you need to go into the small roads. Nice romantic place with live band and music is not too loud. 😊😊

Arrived At 7 pm with partner ordered 4 dishes and drinks, drinks arrived ok, one veg dish arrived then the soup after 20 minutes, 40 minutes and still waiting for fish dish other tables that arrived after us were served . Spoke to waiter who went to check but did not return finally we called for the check and then 60 minutes after our order they suggested we take the fish dish home, it still had not arrived , no apology no sorry just the bill , service hopeless, confused staff with no idea , no manager to speak to , don’t bother going
